Coating systems for the wind turbine industry

Jakob Albertsen has worked with the wind turbine industry since 2006 with the aim of providing durable coatings on surfaces used in wind turbines.
Jakob Albertsen holds APQP4Wind prequalifications, and of course has process management with PPAP.

Jakob Albertsen has large facilities and lifting capacity, which enables us to handle even the largest wind turbine items. Painted items are IR-cured to achieve optimal curing and fast delivery.

Jakob Albertsen primarily performs coating of steel, copper and aluminum for the wind turbine industry. Steel is typically coated as an industrial certified coating according to ISO12944, typically a deburring / Radius 2, a zn/alu metallization, followed by 2 layers of barrier epoxy and 1 layer of UV-resistant topcoat, for a total layer thickness of min. 450 my. Copper is typically coated with Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE), and aluminum with epoxy primer and topcoat if the coating alone is for coloring. The coated items are typically plates, rails, gratings, floor plates, scepters, fittings, railings and platforms. Coating is typically corrosion protection, but can also be insulation protection, for example on busbars.
