Fusion Bonded Epoxy is a pure functional coating that can be applied to all metal surfaces.
The coating is developed for pipelines with the purpose of protecting them against corrosion from salt water. Today Fusion Bonded epoxy is used on many types of items, e.g. pumps, filters, valves, fittings, beams etc. There are several types of Fusion Bonded Epoxy depending on the need for temperature and chemical resistance. The product is also used as electrical insulation.
Fusion Bonded Epoxy is applied as a powder to preheated parts, after which the powder melts and hardens. The application is electrostatic, so that application to hard-to-reach areas is possible.
Fusion Bonded Epoxy is environmentally friendly as there are no solvents in FBE and unused powder can be recycled after a filtration process.
Jakob Albertsen has several application systems and oven capacity and can coat, for example, pipes or containers internally up to 12 meters long from 1 inch to 40 inches in diameter.
