Ceramic Coating is a spin-off of aerospace technology and is used on concrete objects that need to be protected against corrosion, wear and chemicals. The product is an advanced epoxy polymer, which is reinforced with ceramic particles of various shapes and sizes. The product has a very high adhesion to the substrate. The product is chemically curing by ordinary means. Temperature and several of the products are unique as they can be applied to damp surfaces.

Ceramic Coating for concrete is typically used in environments, both alkaline and “acidic” (pH 1-14), for example in dairies, breweries, slaughterhouses, and in industry in general where CIP liquids and other chemicals are corrosive and destructive to the concrete. The ceramic coatings are used, for example, in tank farms, buffer tanks, equalization tanks, wells, tank foundations, pump foundations, silos, weighing areas, pipe strings, facades, wall crowns and floors.

Ceramic coating has extreme properties, for example ARC CS4, which is often used on floors, has a compressive strength of 95 Mpa, a tensile strength of 21 MPa, and a hardness of 79 Shore D. The product contains no solvents and is therefore environmentally completely modern, both in terms of the working environment and the environment.

There are several types of ceramic coating for concrete depending on the need for resistance to temperature, chemicals, abrasion or extreme mechanical stress.

Deteriorated or affected areas are first repaired with ceramic coating in layer thicknesses of up to 200 mm. Then, a ceramic top coating is applied, designed to withstand the environment, in a layer thickness of 0.5-1.0 mm.
